Pelvic Presence support

Pelvic Presence provides calm, clear guidance for pelvic floor practice. Many settings and records remain directly on your device. The answers below can help with technical questions; personal medical symptoms should be discussed with a doctor or qualified physiotherapist.

Translation notice

This English translation is provided for convenience. If there are any discrepancies, the German version is authoritative.

Supported devices

  • iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 16.6 or later,
  • German and English,
  • no AmoSystems user account,
  • no internet connection for practices, planning, calendar or knowledge,
  • a personal iCloud account, enabled iCloud Drive or CloudKit and an internet connection for optional partner mode.

Pelvic Presence optionally requests notifications. It does not request access to the camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendar, location or HealthKit.

Frequently asked questions

Is Pelvic Presence a medical treatment?

No. The app provides general information and guided exercises, but does not diagnose conditions or replace medical or physiotherapy treatment. Seek personal advice about suitability if you experience pain, bleeding, significant pressure, new symptoms, are pregnant or have recently had surgery.

How do strengthening, breathing and release differ?

Strengthening guides purposeful contraction followed by complete release in defined sets and repetitions. Breathing focuses on a calm rhythm and how the diaphragm and pelvic floor work together. Release moves through body areas step by step to help you notice and let go of held tension.

How do I change the intensity or duration?

Open “Exercises” and choose Strengthening, Breathing or Release. Before starting, select an intensity for Strengthening or a duration for Breathing and Release. The overview shows the planned sequence before the session begins.

Why did my reminder not appear?

Check your weekly plan in the app first. Then open “Settings → Notifications → Pelvic Presence” and allow notifications. Focus modes, Scheduled Summary and other iOS settings may also affect when a notification appears.

Where is my data stored?

Your profile, practice history, weekly plan and exact cycle details remain locally in the app. Pelvic Presence has no AmoSystems account and uses no AmoSystems server. Only simplified partner signals are synchronised through Apple iCloud or CloudKit after voluntary sharing. See the privacy policy for details.

How does partner mode work?

In partner mode, each person privately shares their own signal channel through an iCloud invitation and accepts the other person’s invitation. Both people can then see each other’s shared, simplified signals. Exact cycle, profile and practice data are not shared.

Why do I see no partner signal or “Connection unavailable”?

Check that both devices have the current App Store version installed, are signed into separate personal iCloud accounts, are online and have accepted both invitations. Open partner mode and check again. If a share was stopped, the connection must be set up again.

Can my partner be notified when my status changes?

Yes, if the partner connection is active and notifications are allowed. These alerts are optional and discreet. Change permission under “Settings → Notifications → Pelvic Presence”.

How do I delete data or a partner connection?

You can clear partner signals and disconnect in partner mode. This removes local references and access, and the app attempts to delete its own CloudKit share. To remove all local app data, delete Pelvic Presence.

Can I use Pelvic Presence without partner mode?

Yes. Exercises, planning, calendar and knowledge features work without a partner connection or an AmoSystems account.

Troubleshooting

  1. Check that the current App Store version is installed.
  2. Update iOS or iPadOS if an appropriate update is available.
  3. Quit and reopen the app; restart the device if the issue continues.
  4. For reminders, check notification settings both in the app and in iOS.
  5. For partner mode, check the internet connection, iCloud sign-in and accepted invitations on both devices.
  6. Where possible, disconnect an existing partner connection before deleting or reinstalling the app.
